2026 Road Repair Plans and Survey Summary
The Island Cove Estates board understands not every member contributed responses to the Road Survey, but enough respondents overwhelmingly preferred road repair options from which the board has moved forward with plans for this year.

Current 2026 Plan for Common Roadways Repairs
Contractor: Timber Cove Excavating (https://www.timbercoveexc.com/)We plan to start the roadwork as soon as possible, but we need to wait for the road to dry out. We are working on obtaining a start date and will send it to the Island Cove Estates membership when we receive one.

PROPOSAL OF ROADWORK

  • Clear culverts at both Iversen Drive entrances off Iversen Road.
  • Fix pot holes along the length of Iversen Drive and Island View Drive.
  • Put a “crown” back on Iversen Drive for better drainage
  • Repair ditches where needed on the “straight away” on the top portion of Iverson Drive.
  • Regrade the “steep hill” between the lower section of Iversen Drive and the upper to create a better crown, fixing drainage ditches where needed, and adding a “rolling dip” to divert water off the road where it is best suited for conditions and drainage. 
  • Road work should take 3 days, depending on weather and roadway conditions.


SCOPE:

 

  • Rock for lifting and crowning road  
  • 233 tons of road base (49 yards or less per trip, per county regulations).
  • 40 hours of truck time from Cazadero Quarry to Island Cove Estates Subdivision. 
  • Grading and ditch cleaning 
  • Labor
  • Road grader for spreading rock, crowning roads and cleaning ditches.
  • Skid steer to assist grader in cleaning out ditches.
  • 5-ton mini excavator for cleaning out culverts and fixing drainage.
  • 11-ton smooth drum compactor to compact roadway.
